Board Member Responsibilities:

• Commit to serving a three-year term and attending board meetings once a month.

• Participate and contribute to monthly meetings and one or more board committees (i.e. Finance, Nominations & Board Development, Policy, Fundraising & Marketing).

• Attend the Annual General Meeting and support special events.

• Support the Board's annual evaluation and planning efforts.

• Fundraising for the organization.

Qualifications:

The board is seeking interested applicants with the following professional and personal qualifications:

• CPA designation is strongly preferred

• Use thought leadership and judgment to support the delivery and execution of the 5-year strategy

• Stay on top of emerging trends and identify opportunities to help position ACSA to thrive within a consistently evolving environment

• Develop solutions to help solve problems for all stakeholders by offering strategic counsel and actionable insights

• Leverage data, client and staff feedback to formulate insight and recommendations

• Task-oriented, with the ability to set and meet commitments to the board and all stakeholders

• Previous Board experience and Toronto residence considered an asset
